Most fashionable media

Fashion as a huge part of my life has been brought to my attention through various factors such as music, tv-shows or well comics / manga’s. Some of those inspired me to become the person I am today as well as some inspired my current style.

This is just a short post to present you those shows, books etc. which are fashion-wise most inspiring to me:

NANA

I started reading this Manga when I was about 13 or 14 years old. And this basically introduced me to all the fashion items I now love so much. The characters are dressed very Punkrock, with elements of bondage, gothic Lolita and the general classic leather-jacket, boots and wool sweater look. That and the fact that you can find in probably every single outfit at least one piece of Vivienne Westwood (which is – you guessed it – my all-time favorite designer) made this manga series to one of my eternal fashion guidebooks.

Gossip Girl

As trashy-girly as it might be, I really really enjoy the fashion in this tv-show. I most enjoyed the character of Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) in 2nd and 3rd season, as the clothes during that time really meet my taste.

Addams Family

What is there to say? It’s dark, it’s spooky and the most mentioned color in this show is black.

My Chemical Romance

One of my all-time favorite bands ever! (Still crying about the break up) This band has a very arty flair to it (you can see that on the album covers, the matching style concepts to every album (except the first one – but hey, they were young too)) This band made me love army jackets (you know black ones from the welcome to the black parade video) as well as red eyes (not the most flattering make up look I know, but I still love it)

So much from me, see ya next time, stay gold
